MISS MANATEE SOFTBALL LEAGUE

COVID-19 Guidelines

Updated February 1,2021

While Miss Manatee Softball League plans to have a Spring 2021 Season, the health and safety of our players and families remains our top priority.  Outlined below are the guidelines that should be followed when attending Miss Manatee Softball League activities.

**The guidelines below do not replace or supersede any protocols or restrictions outlined by our state and local authorities for both the state of Florida and Manatee County.  It is imperative that state and local guidelines are followed at all time.  Miss Manatee Softball League’s Board of Directors reserves the right to ammend these guidelines as needed.**

This document is available at www.MissManateeSoftball.com.  All parents/guardians should fully review this document and discuss expectations with their players.

General Guidelines:

·      Follow all state and local guidelines.

·      If a player, coach or spectator is diagnosed with COVID-19 or has direct contact with someone who is diagnosed with COVID-19 and they have been to the MMSL Fields an email should immediately be sent to the League President at [email protected] and the Vice President at [email protected] so that teams who have been in contact with that person can be notified.

General Player Guidelines:

·      Any player, coach, or spectator experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should not attend games or practices at MMSL Fields.

·      Players should sanitize hands often.  The league will supply hand sanitizer dispensers in all dugouts.  Players are encouraged to have their own hand sanitizer to use as well.

·      Players should avoid handshakes, high fives, etc.

·      The use of team shared equipment should be limited whenever possible.

·      Equipment should be kept outside the dugout.  The area behind each dugout has been chained off to provide space for players to keep their equipment.

·      No shared water coolers should be used.  Each player should have their own water jug.

·      No shared food in the dugout.

·      At the end of each practice or game, coaches must ensure all trash is removed from the dugout.

·      If a player or coach contracts COVID-19 she/he will not be permitted to return to team activities for 10 days.

·      Any players quarantined from school should notify their coach immediately.  Once players are cleared to return to school they can return to Miss Manatee Softball League activities.
